The Coring Machine 4 Stroke Petrol Engine is a portable, petrol-engine-powered core drilling unit used to extract cylindrical core samples from hardened concrete structures for strength assessment, built on a cast-aluminium frame with a solid vertical guide pole and a wheeled steel base for on-site mobility.
How It Works
The unit is mounted or anchored at the coring location, and a diamond-tipped core bit (supplied separately) is fitted to the spindle, which accepts 1-1/4" UNC and 1/2" G thread bits. A built-in water swivel feeds cooling water to the diamond bit during drilling to control heat and flush cuttings, while the Briggs & Stratton (USA) Series 750, 5.5Hp petrol engine drives the spindle independent of a mains power supply, making the unit usable on sites without electricity. The rigid vertical pole and 4" Delrin wheels let the operator control feed pressure and reposition the unit between core locations.
