Accelerating Concrete Curing Tank

Product Code : TVT-CTE-10462

The Accelerating Concrete Curing Tank is a stainless-steel accelerated-curing tank used for quality control of concrete at construction sites and precast/research facilities, predicting the 7-day and 28-day compressive and flexural strength of a concrete mix from an early, accelerated-curing specimen.

How It Works

Freshly cast concrete specimens are placed in the tank and cured in water heated up to 90°C (rather than at standard ambient curing temperature), which speeds up the cement hydration reaction dramatically. The compressive (and flexural) strength measured on the accelerated-cured specimen after a short, defined curing period correlates with the strength the same mix would reach after standard 7-day or 28-day curing, allowing quality control decisions — such as formwork removal timing or early confirmation of mix design — to be made days or weeks earlier than waiting for standard-age results.

Applications

Used for accelerated curing of concrete specimens to predict later-age (7-day/28-day) compressive and flexural strength per ASTM C684 and IS 9013, giving construction sites and precast plants an early quality-control signal well before standard-age test results would otherwise be available.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the purpose of accelerated curing?
It predicts the 7-day or 28-day strength of a concrete mix from a specimen cured at an elevated temperature (up to 90°C) for a much shorter period, giving an early quality-control signal per ASTM C684/IS 9013.

What temperature range does the tank operate over?
From ambient temperature up to 90°C.

Does an accelerated-cured result replace standard 28-day testing?
No — accelerated curing gives an early predictive indication for quality control; standard-age (7-day/28-day) testing on normally-cured specimens remains the reference method for final acceptance.
