The Concrete Test Hammer High Strength is a rebound (Schmidt-type) hammer built with a fully aluminium casing and a higher-energy internal mechanism than a standard hammer, rated for up to 300,000 test impacts and specifically suited to evaluating higher-strength concrete.
How It Works
The hammer's spring-loaded plunger is pressed against the concrete surface until it releases and strikes internally, and the rebound distance of the internal mass is read off the hammer's scale (or digital display) and converted to an estimated compressive strength using the hammer's calibration curve. This model's higher impact energy (4.5 Nm/Joule) than a standard Type-N hammer extends its usable measurement range to cover higher-strength concrete than a standard hammer can reliably assess, and the soft silicone cap adds comfort during repeated testing.
