Digital Concrete Test Hammer

Product Code : TVT-CTE-10432

The Digital Concrete Test Hammer from Tvet Equipments is a microprocessor-operated rebound hammer that estimates in-situ concrete strength non-destructively, automatically recording, calculating and storing rebound values with results displayed on a graphic LCD screen.

How It Works

The hammer's plunger is pressed against the concrete surface being tested until a spring-loaded mass strikes the plunger and rebounds; an electronic transducer measures the rebound distance and automatically calculates and displays the corresponding strength value on its high-contrast 256 x 64 pixel LED-blue graphic display, in MPa, psi or kgf/cm² as selected. Results are automatically recorded, calculated and stored, with the option to transfer test data to a PC or optional mini printer for record-keeping.

Applications

This digital rebound hammer estimates concrete compressive strength non-destructively to ASTM C805 / IS 13311 Part 2 / EN 12504-2, with a 2.207 Nm impact energy matching the standard Type N hammer specification, useful for quick in-situ strength assessment, quality control and structural condition surveys without needing to extract core samples.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q1. What standard governs rebound hammer testing?
ASTM C805, IS 13311 Part 2 and EN 12504-2 all specify the rebound hammer method for non-destructive estimation of concrete strength.

Q2. Is this a destructive or non-destructive test?
Non-destructive — the hammer estimates strength from the surface rebound value without requiring core extraction or specimen breakage.

Q3. How are results recorded?
Results are automatically recorded, calculated and stored (up to 240 groups), with data transferable to a PC or optional mini printer.
