The Specimen Cutting Machine is Tvet Equipments' industrial-grade specimen cutting unit, specially developed to cut rock and core samples, with a 500mm diamond cutter, powered feed system, and dual-plane single/double-knife cutting for continuous operation.
How It Works
The specimen is secured by the solid clamping device, which holds irregular specimens firmly during cutting. A dedicated 4kW main motor (Y112M-4) drives the 500mm diamond cutter at 33-45 m/s cutter speed, while separate DC feed and fast forward/retreat motors control the specimen's advance into the blade at an adjustable working speed. The machine can cut in single-knife or double-knife (two-plane) configurations, letting it square both ends of a specimen without repositioning, and is rated for continuous operation within a 0-40°C ambient range at a noise level below 80dB.
