The Air Entrainment Meter (7 Litres) determines the air content of fresh concrete by equalising a known volume of air in a pressure chamber against the sample, using an aluminium cast vessel designed for easy field disassembly so worn or damaged parts can be replaced on site.
How It Works
A 7-litre sample of fresh concrete is sealed in the cast-aluminium vessel; a known air pressure is introduced into a reference chamber and equalised against the sample chamber, and the resulting pressure drop is read on the gauge as a percentage air content. The vessel's disassembling design lets worn seals and internal parts be replaced in the field rather than requiring the unit be returned to the manufacturer.
