The Concrete Pocket Penetrometer gives a rapid, hand-held penetration-resistance reading on freshly mixed concrete, which can be correlated against slump values and setting-time behaviour.
How It Works
The spring-loaded piston is pressed into the concrete surface by hand; the resistance to penetration is read directly off the calibrated scale on the tester's barrel, giving an immediate indicative reading in kg/cm² without the setup needed for a full slump-cone or sieved-mortar setting-time test.
