The Binder Analyzer (Ignition Method) from Tvet Equipments is an advanced, touchscreen-controlled ignition oven for determining asphalt binder content and aggregate gradation of Hot-Mix Asphalt, with programmable combustion profiles for different mix types and extensive on-board data logging.
How It Works
A weighed HMA sample is placed in the combustion chamber, and the operator selects or creates a combustion program (up to 30 can be stored) specifying combustion temperature, aggregate correction factor, and burn time to suit the specific mix being tested. As the furnace burns off the binder, an internally calibrated balance continuously tracks mass loss, and the large colour touchscreen displays a real-time loss curve and temperature curve. Once the sample weight stabilises, the analyzer calculates binder content automatically, storing the full test record — results, protocol, and graphs — for later review or printing; up to 100 test groups can be retained in memory.
