How It Works
The bitumen-solvent solution obtained from an extraction test is passed through the filtration apparatus, which retains fine mineral filler and other suspended particles while allowing the clarified bitumen-solvent solution through. This clarified solution can then be taken forward to a distillation assembly to recover the asphalt binder itself.
