The Air Entrainment Meter Apparatus (Water Column Type) determines the air content of fresh concrete using a cast-aluminium-alloy vessel with a transparent scale tube and pressure indicator, at a 5-litre sample capacity.
How It Works
A known volume of fresh concrete is placed in the vessel, which is then sealed and pressurised; the resulting change read on the transparent water-column scale tube is calibrated directly in percentage air content, based on the compressibility of the entrapped air relative to the incompressible concrete solids and water.
