The Specimen Grinding Machine flat-polishes both ends of cut concrete/core specimens to a high accuracy using twin Ø200mm diamond grinding wheels on two power heads, as an alternative to sulfur-mortar or gypsum capping before compression testing.
How It Works
The specimen is mounted on a workbench that reciprocates automatically during grinding, while the two grinding heads work both ends of the specimen in parallel at the same time. The grinding head can advance automatically (at an adjustable feed rate) or manually, and all parts that contact water are made from stainless steel to resist rust and corrosion; tap water cooling is standard, with liquid nitrogen cooling available if specified at time of order.
