The Sieve Segregation Test Set determines the sieve segregation resistance of self-compacting concrete (SCC), and is not applicable for concrete containing fibres or lightweight aggregate.
How It Works
A measured sample of fresh SCC is poured onto a standard test sieve and left to stand; after the standing period, the mortar fraction that has passed through the sieve is weighed and expressed as a percentage of the original sample mass, giving the Segregation Ratio used to judge the mix's resistance to segregation.
