Rapid Chloride Permeability Tester Manufacturer,Supplier and Exporter in India
Product Code : TVT-CTE-10534
The Rapid Chloride Permeability Tester evaluates concrete's ability to resist chloride ion penetration using the electric flux method, with an automatic acquisition, measurement and control system and a friendly human-machine interface for accurate, repeatable results.
How It Works
A concrete specimen (cube or cylindrical test block) is mounted in the test cell, with one face exposed to a sodium chloride solution and the other to a sodium hydroxide solution; a 60V potential is applied across the specimen for 6 hours, and the total electrical charge passed (in coulombs) is measured, indicating the concrete's resistance to chloride ion penetration — the test can also be used to estimate the chloride diffusion coefficient, chloride migration coefficient, and bulk electrical conductivity of the concrete.

Applications
Used to assess the durability of concrete exposed to chloride-contaminated environments (marine, de-icing salt, or industrial exposure) per ASTM C1202 and AASHTO T277 (electrical indication of concrete's ability to resist chloride ion penetration), a standard durability qualification test alongside carbonation and permeability testing.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does the Rapid Chloride Permeability Test measure?
It measures the total electrical charge passed through a concrete specimen over 6 hours under a 60V potential, indicating the concrete\u2019s resistance to chloride ion penetration.
How many specimens can be tested at once?
Up to 6 test pieces per run, across 6 measuring channels.
Can this instrument also estimate other durability parameters?
Yes — in addition to the standard chloride ion penetration result, it can estimate the chloride diffusion coefficient, chloride migration coefficient, and bulk electrical conductivity of the concrete.
