The Advance Digital Penetrometer from Tvet Equipments determines the consistency of bituminous and similar semi-solid samples by measuring how far a standard needle penetrates the specimen under a fixed load, displaying the result digitally for high-accuracy, repeatable readings.
How It Works
The sample is levelled on the instrument's base using the built-in levelling bubble and vertical fine-adjustment knob, and the standard needle assembly is brought to just touch the specimen surface under LED-illuminated viewing. The needle is then released for a set time under the standard load, and a digital measuring device records the penetration depth to 0.01 mm resolution, either in an automated auto-cycle or a manual test mode, with the result logged automatically.
