The Advance Automatic Digital Cone Penetrometer determines the liquid limit of clay soil using the cone penetration method, in a newly upgraded, fully automated design for easy operation and high accuracy.
How It Works
A standard cone is lowered to just touch the surface of a soil pat in its cup; on release, the cone penetrates the soil under its own weight for a selectable timed interval, and the penetration depth is read on the digimatic display to 0.01mm accuracy. Repeating this at varying moisture contents allows the liquid limit — the moisture content at a defined cone penetration depth — to be determined.
