Three Gang Mould For Prisms Manufacturer,Supplier and Exporter in India
Product Code : TVT-CMTE-10404
The Three Gang Mould For Prisms from Tvet Equipments casts three 40 x 40 x 160 mm mortar prism specimens simultaneously, giving laboratories a durable, hardened-steel mould for preparing consistent flexural and compression test specimens in a single casting operation.
How It Works
Fresh cement mortar is filled into the mould's three gang compartments, each producing a 40 x 40 x 160 mm prism. The mould's flat, hardened surfaces (minimum surface hardness of 200 HV) help ensure dimensionally accurate specimens with reliable, repeatable test results. After casting and initial curing, specimens are demoulded and cured further before flexural testing (typically on a jolting-compacted, EN 196-1-conforming prism) followed by compression testing of the resulting half-prisms.

Applications
The Three Gang Mould For Prisms is used to cast the 40 x 40 x 160 mm mortar prisms specified in EN 196-1, ASTM C348 and IS 4031 Part 6 for cement flexural and compressive strength testing, giving laboratories three specimens from every casting for statistically meaningful results.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q1. What standard governs the mortar prism dimensions?
EN 196-1, ASTM C348 and IS 4031 Part 6 all specify 40 x 40 x 160 mm mortar prisms for cement flexural and compressive strength testing.
Q2. Why does the mould need a minimum hardness of 200 HV?
A hardened, flat mould surface resists wear and deformation over repeated use, helping ensure every cast specimen keeps accurate, standard-compliant dimensions.
Q3. How many specimens does one casting produce?
The three gang compartments cast three prism specimens in a single operation, supporting statistically meaningful strength testing from one batch.
