Mortar Compression & Flexural Test Machine

Product Code : TVT-CMTE-10379

The Mortar Compression & Flexural Test Machine from Tvet Equipments provides fully computer-controlled compression testing of 50 mm mortar cubes and flexural testing of 40 x 40 x 160 mm mortar prisms, using two independent loading frames sized to each test.

How It Works

The compression frame (up to 300 kN capacity) and the flexural frame (up to 15 kN capacity) each apply load through their own piston at a constant, computer-controlled loading rate, so both compression and flexural results are unaffected by manual crank-speed variation. Advanced Super Test 7.2 software acquires results automatically, displaying the real-time load and test curve while saving results to a virtually unlimited database, with a test report available for immediate printing after each test.

Applications

The Mortar Compression & Flexural Test Machine is used for cement mortar strength testing under EN 196-1 / ASTM C109 / ASTM C348 / IS 4031 Part 6, the standard test methods for compressive and flexural strength of hydraulic cement mortars, in cement manufacturer QC laboratories and civil engineering institutions.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q1. Why does this machine have two separate loading frames?
Compression testing (up to 300 kN on 50 mm cubes) and flexural testing (up to 15 kN on 40 x 40 x 160 mm prisms) need very different load ranges and resolutions, so two independent frames give accurate, consistent readings for each test type.

Q2. What specimen sizes does it test?
It tests 50 mm mortar cubes in compression and 40 x 40 x 160 mm mortar prisms in flexure, the standard specimen dimensions for hydraulic cement mortar strength testing.

Q3. Can test results be printed immediately?
Yes, the Super Test 7.2 software generates a test report that can be printed immediately after the test completes, alongside unlimited on-computer storage of results.
