Cement Curing Cabinet

Product Code : TVT-CMTE-10387

The Cement Curing Cabinet from Tvet Equipments is a fully stainless steel, temperature-controlled cabinet used to provide the stable curing environment that cement and mortar specimens require between casting and testing, with built-in heating and cooling to hold conditions steady in site laboratories where ambient conditions vary.

How It Works

Cast specimens are loaded into the cabinet through its top-opening cover and held within a controlled internal environment maintained by the built-in heating and refrigeration system. The temperature is held at 20°C ± 0.5°C with 0.1°C resolution, giving laboratories the stable curing conditions specified for cement and mortar strength testing without depending on the ambient temperature of the site laboratory itself. The fully stainless steel internal and external construction resists corrosion from the moist curing environment over repeated use.

Applications

The Cement Curing Cabinet is used to maintain the controlled curing environment required for cement and mortar test specimens ahead of compressive and flexural strength testing, consistent with the curing-condition provisions of IS 4031 and the moist-cabinet requirements set out in ASTM C511. It is particularly valuable in site and mobile laboratories where ambient temperature control cannot otherwise be guaranteed.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q1. Why is controlled curing temperature important for cement specimens?
Cement hydration and strength gain are temperature-sensitive; holding specimens at a stable 20°C ± 0.5°C, as this cabinet does, ensures test results reflect the material's properties rather than variations in ambient site conditions.

Q2. How many specimens can the cabinet hold at once?
The cabinet accommodates up to 40 groups, or 240 individual specimens, within its 1370 x 710 x 350 mm working space.

Q3. Is the cabinet suitable for site laboratories as well as central labs?
Yes, its built-in heating and refrigeration system is designed specifically to deliver stable curing conditions independent of ambient temperature, making it well suited to site laboratories as well as permanent central facilities.
