Slump Cone Test Apparatus Manufacturer,Supplier and Exporter in India
Product Code : TVT-CTE-10473
The Slump Cone Test Apparatus is the standard, universally recognised device used to determine the workability and consistency of fresh concrete at the point of placement, one of the most widely performed tests in concrete quality control.
How It Works
The truncated conical mould (100mm top diameter, 200mm base diameter, 300mm height) is filled with fresh concrete in three layers, each rodded 25 times to compact it, then struck off level at the top. The mould is lifted vertically away in one smooth motion, and the concrete — no longer supported — settles or "slumps" under its own weight. The vertical difference between the mould's original height and the highest point of the slumped concrete is measured as the slump value: higher slump indicates a wetter, more workable mix, while lower slump indicates a stiffer, drier mix.

Applications
Used to assess and control the workability and consistency of fresh concrete mixes at the batching plant or site per ASTM C143, IS 1199, and EN 12350-2, the most widely used quality-control test for ready-mix and site-mixed concrete.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does a higher slump value mean?
A higher slump indicates a wetter, more workable (flowable) concrete mix; a lower slump indicates a stiffer, drier mix.
How is the concrete compacted inside the cone before measuring slump?
It is placed in three roughly equal layers, each rodded 25 times with a standard tamping rod, per ASTM C143/IS 1199.
How does this differ from the Portable Slump Cone Apparatus?
This is the standard cone-and-baseplate set; the portable version adds a folding frame/base assembly for easier site handling, while both use the same 100/200/300mm cone geometry and slump-measurement principle.
