Mini Vibrating Table

Product Code : TVT-CMTE-10407

The Mini Vibrating Table from Tvet Equipments compacts cement and mortar cube specimens by controlled vibration, giving laboratories a robust, low-noise way to remove entrapped air and achieve well-consolidated test specimens across three moulds at once.

How It Works

Mould-filled specimens are secured to the table using its clamping device and quick-release knob. A motor-driven vibrator operating at up to 3000/3600 vibrations per minute reduces the internal friction of the fresh mix, allowing entrapped air to rise and escape more readily as the material settles and consolidates around the mould walls and any embedded reinforcement or gauge studs.

Applications

The Mini Vibrating Table is used to compact cement and mortar cube or prism specimens by vibration, an accepted alternative consolidation method referenced alongside tamping in ASTM C109 / ASTM C192 and IS 10086 (specification for moulds used in cement and concrete testing), helping laboratories achieve consistent specimen density ahead of strength testing.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q1. What standard supports vibration compaction of mortar specimens?
ASTM C109 / ASTM C192 and IS 10086 reference vibration as an accepted consolidation method for cement and concrete test specimens, alongside tamping and jolting.

Q2. How many specimens can it compact at once?
The table accommodates 3 mould positions simultaneously within its 367 x 367 mm table surface.

Q3. Why is vibration compaction preferred for some mixes?
Vibration reduces the mix's internal friction, allowing entrapped air to escape more readily than manual tamping alone, which is particularly useful for stiffer or lower-workability mixes.
