The Flow Table Apparatus 15kg from Tvet Equipments determines the consistency and flow of fresh mortar and building lime using a 300 mm cast iron flow table, built to the European flow table testing method for mortar consistency.
How It Works
A mortar or lime specimen is filled into a cone mould placed at the centre of the 300 mm cast iron table. The mould is removed and the table is raised and dropped through a fixed 10 mm height for a set number of cycles, causing the material to spread outward. The resulting increase in specimen diameter is measured and expressed as a flow value, giving a standardised consistency reading. Both hand-operated and motorised versions are available.
