Automatic Proctor / CBR Soil Compactor

Product Code : TVT-STE-10545

The Automatic Proctor / CBR Soil Compactor is a newly upgraded, solid and compact compaction machine that delivers uniform, correct compaction of Proctor and CBR soil samples, powered by Tvet Equipments' energy-saving drive system for consistent, repeatable operation.

How It Works

The soil sample, placed in a Proctor or CBR mould, is compacted by an automatically dropped rammer at a pre-set blow rate; a single-version mechanism covers most international compaction standards, and solid-state controls ensure reliable, low-maintenance operation. The control box is housed separately from the compaction unit to protect it from vibration damage during operation.

Applications

Used for standard and modified Proctor compaction and CBR mould compaction of soil per ASTM D698 (standard Proctor, 2.5kg rammer/300mm drop), ASTM D1557 (modified Proctor, 4.5kg rammer/450mm drop) and IS 2720 Parts 7 & 8 (light and heavy compaction), the rammer weight/drop-height combinations matching both standards exactly.

Frequently Asked Questions

What compaction standards does this machine cover?
Both standard Proctor (ASTM D698, 2.5kg rammer, 300mm drop) and modified Proctor (ASTM D1557, 4.5kg rammer, 450mm drop) compaction, plus CBR mould compaction, via its adjustable rammer weight and drop height.

What is the compaction blow rate?
30 blows per minute.

Why is the control box separate from the compaction unit?
To protect the solid-state controls from vibration damage generated during the compaction process, improving reliability and reducing maintenance needs.
