The Automatic Compression Machine (Welded Frame) 5000kN is a heavy-capacity welded-frame compression tester built around a dual-channel, independently calibrated load-measuring system, sized to cover both high-strength concrete specimens and lower-load specimens on the same frame. An optional flexural attachment lets the 5000 kN frame also be used for flexural strength testing.
How It Works
The machine uses two independently calibrated measuring channels — a high range (5000 kN x 1.0 kN sensitivity) for full-capacity concrete cube and cylinder testing, and a second, finer range (999 kN x 0.1 kg sensitivity) for lower-load specimens — so the operator does not need a second, smaller-capacity machine to get accurate readings across a wide range of specimen strengths. Load is applied hydraulically through the piston ram, and the console automatically records peak load and computed strength for each channel. When the optional flexural attachment is fitted, the same frame and console can be reconfigured to run flexural (bending) tests instead of direct compression.
