Tapered Cylinder Mould Manufacturer,Supplier and Exporter in India
Product Code : TVT-CMTE-10422
The Tapered Cylinder Mould from Tvet Equipments determines the volume change (bleeding and expansion) of grout, using a split, quick-clamping steel cylinder with a machine-tapered top rim and detachable base plate for easy specimen removal.
How It Works
Fresh grout is poured into the mould's steel cylinder, split longitudinally with two quick-acting clamps welded in place for fast opening after casting. The tapered top rim helps the specimen release cleanly once the clamps are opened, while the detachable base plate simplifies removal from below. The specimen's height or volume is monitored over time to determine the grout's volume change (bleeding or expansion) behaviour.
Technical Specifications
| Parameter | Specification |
|---|---|
| Mould Internal Dimension | 76 mm dia. x 152 mm height, mild steel cylinder |
| Overall Dimension | 130 x 130 x 162 mm |
| Approx. Weight | 3.8 kg |
Note: Tvet Equipments' own product description text separately mentions "89 mm dia. x 160 mm" steel tubing, which does not match the 76 mm x 152 mm dimension given in the structured specification table above. Buyers should confirm the exact mould bore diameter and height directly with Tvet Equipments before ordering.
Applications
The Tapered Cylinder Mould is used to determine volume change (height change) of grout, following the general principle referenced in ASTM C827 (Change in Height at Early Ages of Cylindrical Specimens of Cementitious Mixtures), an important quality check for grouts used in post-tensioning ducts, ground anchors and preplaced-aggregate concrete.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q1. What does this mould test?
It is used to determine the volume change (bleeding or expansion behaviour) of grout specimens over time.
Q2. What standard is this test based on?
It follows the general principle referenced in ASTM C827 for measuring height/volume change of cementitious mixture specimens at early ages.
Q3. Are the mould's exact dimensions confirmed?
Tvet Equipments' own source records are inconsistent between the descriptive text and the specification table on this point — please confirm the exact bore diameter and height directly with Tvet Equipments before ordering.
