The Sand Content Kit from Tvet Equipments determines the sand content of drilling muds, a routine field and laboratory check used in drilling fluid and grout quality control.
How It Works
A measured volume of drilling mud sample is mixed with water in the kit's graduated glass tube and allowed to settle, or passed through the kit's fine mesh screen, separating sand-sized particles from the liquid mud. The volume of sand collected is read directly off the graduated scale and expressed as a percentage by volume of the original mud sample.
