Mild Steel Cylinder Moulds Manufacturer,Supplier and Exporter in India
Product Code : TVT-CTE-10481
Mild Steel Cylinder Moulds are concrete cylinder specimen moulds in mild-steel construction, covering the standard Ø100 x 200mm and Ø150 x 300mm sizes plus a larger Ø250 x 500mm size for mixes with larger maximum aggregate.
How It Works
Fresh concrete is placed and compacted (by tamping or vibration) into the assembled mild-steel cylinder mould to cast a specimen of precise, repeatable diameter and height, then cured and demoulded once it has set sufficiently to retain its shape. The larger Ø250 x 500mm size accommodates mixes containing larger maximum aggregate, where the governing standards require a larger specimen diameter relative to the aggregate size.
Technical Specifications
| Parameter | Specification |
|---|---|
| Ø100 x 200mm Mild Steel Cylinder Mould | 140 x 140 x 210 mm, 5.5 kg |
| Ø150 x 150mm Mild Steel Cylinder Mould | 185 x 185 x 160 mm, 8.1 kg |
| Ø150 x 300mm Mild Steel Cylinder Mould | 185 x 185 x 310 mm, 13.2 kg |
| Ø250 x 500mm Mild Steel Cylinder Mould | 350 x 350 x 515 mm, 28 kg |
| Note on the Ø150 x 150mm size | As with Tvet Equipments' cast-iron cylinder mould range, this size does not follow the standard 2:1 height-to-diameter cylinder ratio (e.g. Ø150 x 300mm above); presented as published, confirm intended use with Tvet Equipments before ordering. |
Applications
Used to cast concrete cylinder specimens for compressive strength, splitting tensile, and modulus of elasticity testing per ASTM C31, ASTM C192, IS 516, and EN 12390-1, with the Ø250 x 500mm size suited to mass-concrete or larger-aggregate mixes needing a bigger specimen diameter.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why is a larger Ø250 x 500mm cylinder size offered?
Governing standards require the cylinder diameter to be at least 3 times the maximum aggregate size in the mix; the larger Ø250 x 500mm mould is needed when testing mixes with larger maximum aggregate than the standard Ø150mm cylinder can accommodate.
Why does the middle-sized listing show a 1:1 ratio (Ø150 x 150mm) instead of 2:1?
This is presented as published in Tvet Equipments\u2019 specification data and does not match the conventional 2:1 cylinder ratio used elsewhere in the range; confirm the intended use of this size before ordering.
How does this differ from the Cast Iron Cylinder Mould?
This range uses mild-steel construction in the same size range, plus an additional larger Ø250 x 500mm option, giving buyers a material and size choice based on mix design and budget.
