The Automated Asphalt Cutting Machine from Tvet Equipments is a fully enclosed, computerised specimen-cutting machine for sawing standard cylindrical asphalt cores (Ø100-155 mm) or 300 mm x 300 mm slabs into precise test specimens, with a touchscreen control panel driving automated clamping and sawing.
How It Works
The specimen is loaded and secured by an automated pneumatic clamping system, applying up to 150-180 kg of clamping force on round specimens or 300-360 kg on slab specimens, using an onboard 0.6-0.8 MPa/20-litre pneumatic supply. A 500 mm diameter blade, spinning at 1450 rpm, is fed through the specimen at a programmable cutting speed of up to 999 mm/min under touchscreen control, with a cooling pump keeping the blade and specimen cool throughout the cut for a clean, accurate finish (±0.3 mm cutting accuracy). Interchangeable clamping accessories also let the same machine cut terrazzo, natural stone, concrete, ceramics, refractory brick, and pipe specimens.
