How It Works
The bitumen-solvent extract solution is loaded into the pressure vessel above a filter support fitted with a test sieve and filter funnel. Air pressure, monitored on the vessel's built-in gauge, forces the solution through the filter media, separating fine mineral matter from the bitumen-bearing solvent, which passes through for measurement and further recovery testing.
