The Non Metallic Material Extensometer is a large-scale electronic extensometer designed to measure the elongation of high-stretch, non-metallic materials such as rubber and plastic during tensile testing.
How It Works
The extensometer clamps onto the test specimen at a set gauge length and electronically tracks the separation of its jaws as the specimen is stretched on a universal testing machine, recording elongation over a long measuring stroke to suit materials capable of very large extensions before failure, well beyond the small strains typical of metals.
