The Horizontal Universal Motorised Hydraulic Extruder is a heavy-duty, motor-driven unit for extruding undisturbed and disturbed soil samples from thin-walled sample tubes up to 1000 mm long, covering diameters from 38 mm to 150 mm.
How It Works
The sample tube is loaded horizontally into the extruder bed, and a motorised hydraulic ram advances along the tube's full length, pushing the recovered soil out steadily and evenly with minimal disturbance. The horizontal, motorised configuration is suited to longer sample tubes and higher sample throughput than smaller hand-operated units, making it well suited to busy geotechnical laboratories handling long borehole samples.
