Anchor stirrer, PTFE Manufacturer,Supplier and Exporter in India
Product Code : TVT-CELE-10737
The Anchor Stirrer (PTFE) is a stirrer shaft with a PTFE-jacketed stainless steel core and a paddle made of solid PTFE, giving it the mixing geometry of an anchor stirrer along with the chemical resistance of pure PTFE at the wetted surfaces.
How It Works
A stainless steel core runs through the centre of the shaft to provide mechanical stability and allow safe attachment to a stirrer chuck, while a thick PTFE jacket around the shaft and a paddle made entirely of solid PTFE ensure that the process medium only ever contacts PTFE, not the underlying steel. This combination gives the stirrer almost universal chemical resistance, and PTFE's naturally nonstick surface helps repel residues from both the shaft and paddle. Because the shafts are similar in size to standard glass stirring rods, they can be swapped in easily wherever a glass rod would otherwise be used, and the anchor geometry is recommended for low-speed mixing operations.

Applications
Data note: this product is catalogued under Tvet Equipments' Civil Engineering Lab Equipment category, but is a laboratory stirring accessory rather than a civil/materials-testing apparatus — this reflects a catalog categorisation mismatch already flagged at the category level. PTFE anchor stirrers are used in chemistry and pharmaceutical laboratories for gentle, low-speed mixing of viscous or wall-adjacent material where an anchor-shaped paddle scrapes close to the vessel wall, and where chemical compatibility across a very wide temperature range (-200°C to +250°C) is required.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the wetted material on this stirrer?
The medium only contacts PTFE — the shaft has a thick PTFE jacket and the paddle is solid PTFE.
What temperature range can this stirrer handle?
It operates from -200°C to +250°C.
Can this replace a glass stirring rod?
Yes, the shafts are similar in size to glass stirring rods and are easily interchangeable with them.
