The Digimatic Point Load Tester Apparatus from Tvet Equipments determines the point load strength index of rock and aggregate specimens, both in the field and in the laboratory, giving civil engineering colleges, highway testing labs, and PWD/NHAI-empanelled laboratories a fast, portable way to estimate rock strength and correlate it to Uniaxial Compressive Strength (UCS).
How It Works
A rigid load frame with a hydraulic loading ram, actuated by hand pump, applies load through conical platens onto the rock specimen. A digital load cell with fine-resolution reading control records the applied load, while the built-in ruler allows direct measurement of specimen diameter for accurate index calculation. The rechargeable digital readout can store up to 999 test results for lab record-keeping.
