The Distilled Water Apparatus is a bench or wall-mounted still used to produce distilled water in-house for laboratory use.
How It Works
A 3 kW chromium-plated heater boils feed water in a borosilicate heat-resistant glass boiling chamber; the resulting steam passes through a spiralled borosilicate condenser where it cools and condenses back into distilled water, and a thermostatic cut-off protects the still automatically if the water supply fails. The unit is mounted on a robust metal stand suitable for bench or wall installation.
